The art of drumming is finally making its way into the health and wellness revolution. Over the last decade research involving the neurobiological underpinnings of drumming has seen tremendous growth. Numerous studies have shown that all types of drumming can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and enhance your immunity. Research involving group drumming added to the list by providing evidence showing it can be used to reduce blood pressure, cortisol and provide relief from chronic pain conditions.

Metaphysically the warm vibrational frequency of the Drum clears stagnant and dense energy from the physical and energetic body/space, creating a purified field for fresh, new, vital prana/life force to fill our bodies, heart, mind and spirit; harmonising us with the natural attunment of the Earth.

 As a form of spiritual technology the Drum enables us to connect with our True Nature, the Elements, Great Spirit & the Heart of Gaia. It has been used throughout time & across many cultures /traditions to align with the spirit realms & harness the healing power of natural sound vibrations.

This is a call to gather, to deepen your personal and collective healing, enhance your innate gifts and reclaim a fundamental tool in the spiritual legacy of Humankind. 

The Medicine Drum is a remarkable spiritual technology that enables us to connect with our True Nature, the Elements, Great Spirit & the Heart of Gaia. It has been used throughout time & across many cultures /traditions to align with the spirit realms & harness the healing power of natural sound vibrations. I will share with you the sacred symbologic language woven into the Drum as well as some significant resources to support you in harnessing the full power of this remarkable tool.

We are so fortunate to have the blessing to gather in this way & I am very excited to share in the creation & birthing of your very own instrument of sacred song, healing & transformation. 

Medicine Drum Crafting Ceremonies are $800pp for a circle of 2 - 6 people and 1:1 private ceremonies are $1100. This includes all the materials to craft a 16inch Kangaroo Hide Medicine Drum & Beater complete with ceremonial facilitation & optional camping accommodation in a comfortable and beautiful location in the Byron Shire, Northern NSW.

If you have your own private group/circle we can arrange a mutually convenient time that suits us all.

The timing can vary depending on each individual's process. 

I try to complete each day around 5:30pm however that can change, so please don't make any other plans for the evenings.

Water Bottle, & Towel (to work on your Drum)
A precious item to place on the Altar
Your own meals (tea and snacks with be provided)
Camping gear (if you are staying overnight)

A $200 non-refundable commitment contribution will secure your place. Please request the details when you are ready and committed to showing up. Please let me know when this is done. Once I have received your commitment contribution I will send you the address. You can finalize your contribution upon arrival. If you need to cancel your contribution is transferable to another gathering or commission piece within 6 months. Or refunded if you find someone to fill your place.

Timing: Arrange to arrive by 9am each day (If you are camping you are welcome to arrive on Wednesday evening to set up camp) The timing for finishing up each day will depend on where we are at as a group. I will aim to have the ceremony complete by 5:30pm on Friday evening.

Custom Crafted Shamanic Drums AND/or drum paintings

I could very happily craft you your very own Shamanic Drum. Every drum is a unique one off intentionally crafted instrument and has its own magic, so it will hold, carry and emit your medicine.

 The contribution is $700-800 to intentionally craft a 16-18inch Kangaroo Hide Drum and Handmade Felted Beater (plus postage with insurance within Australia which is usually around $40). Please note that larger sizes and different animal hides (ie. deer and goat) are also available at a higher cost).

Drum Paintings are also one-off designs channeled specifically for you and your Drum. They usually take between 4-10hours and the cost depends on the time and energy invested into it. $300-$400 is usually the exchange for a simple design. This is much like a tattoo and it activates the power in the Medicine of the Drum. Designs can be discussed in more details once you have made submitted your expression of interest to me directly.

You can make note in there which type of animal hide you would prefer and if you would like it hand painted with an original and unique one off design.

I will respond to your personally with the contribution details and require a $300 (non-refundable) commitment contribution to save your place in my commissions list.

Once the time comes for me to prepare the materials for your Drum I will tune in with you and pull some divination cards to guide my focus whilst weaving and to support the intentional focus into your heart handle. I will share this with you via text message. When I begin weaving I will let you know so you can hold the Drum in your heart whilst it is being birthed. 

Once it is complete I ask for the contribution to be finalised. I'll send a picture of the postage receipt with the tracking number as soon as its on its way.

It would be such a pleasure and privilege to bring this tool to life for you.

Each piece is one of a kind and their pricing is based upon the size, rarity of feathers and time it takes to bring their medicine and magic to life. They usually range from $250-$900AU.

I will need to have a sense of your budget, colours and qualities you would like the fan to possess and carry. 

When the time comes for me to work on your fan, I will also provide a divination card reading to support the intentional focus for your piece. I will share some pictures of the card and reading with you also.

Once it is complete I will be in touch with the final contribution amount, including postage. I do recommend having it covered by insurance to assure it is not lost, stolen or damaged during transit. I'll need receipt of your final payment and I'll send you the tracking number once it's on its way.

2023 ‘Womb to Tomb’Solo Exhibition

A creative researcher of Herstory, Mele’s work is intrinsically moved by the initiations of womanhood; on a quest to evoke and embody the inherent archetypal value and power of the mother, witch, visionary, artist and muse.

Mele’s multimedia crafts are inspired by her intimate exploration with the healing spirit, creativity, nature, the elementals, cycles of transformation, death and rebirth and her personal healing and reclamation of her Celtic-Pagan spiritual lineage. Her craft is a personal dialog with the forces of regeneration, restoration and reparation of her matriarchal lineage; to make peace with the cultural, traditional and spiritual genocide of her ancestors.

The Drum and its songs became a central anchor and compass for her as the spiritual seeker of belonging to find her way home, back to the centre, to the heart of what it means to be human and a child of the Earth.

Her creations are a living practice of prayer and a journey of integration; with grief, solo parenting and power plant medicines. Created through times of natural disaster, pandemic and global injustice, she is driven to intentionally create ceremonial and ritualistic beauty and harmony in everything she touches. Bestowing the viewer and the carriers of this medicine, with a physical manifestation and direct transmission of the primordial unifying power of Love.
